Box Score Jordan Benjamin competed in the backdraw of the Oracle ITA Masters in Malibu, Calif. on Friday afternoon. Benjamin matched up with Adrian Oetzbach of host Pepperdine and fell by a score of 7-5, 6-3.

Benjamin fell behind 4-1 early in the first set, but battled back to win four of the next five games to tie up the match at 5-5. But Oetzbach responded by winning the next two games to take the opening set. Benjamin hung tough at the beginning of the second set with the score sitting at 3-2 in favor of Pepperdine, but Oezbach gained some separation before ultimately taking the deciding set by a score of 6-3.

Benjamin will next compete at the ITA Regional Championships from Oct. 11-15 in Knoxville, Tenn.

The rest of the men's team is competing in the UD Hidden Duals this weekend and completed the first day of competition on Friday. The hidden duals will conclude on Saturday and full results will be released as soon as they are available.
