DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's tennis team has its home opener this weekend on Sunday, Feb. 3 against Youngstown State at the Five Seasons Sports Complex beginning at 10 a.m. (ET). The Flyers were also originally scheduled to play Cleveland State at 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1, but that match was cancelled due to a winter weather advisory..
Dayton's match against Youngstown State will be just the second of the season for the Flyers, as the team suffered an early season setback to Ball State to open the year. The Flyers are looking to replace three of the top four players in their lineup from last season after losing
Marlys Bridgham,
Jackie Kawamoto and
Jade Kawamoto to graduation.
Youngstown State is 1-2 with losses to Pittsburgh and Duquense and the lone win coming against Saint Francis (Pa.).
The Flyers defeated Youngstown State by a score of 4-3 the last time they played, which was during the 2017 season.
