Men’s Soccer Loses At VCU Wednesday

The Flyers Lost In Overtime

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Dayton men's soccer team fell to VCU 2-1 in overtime Wednesday on the road in Richmond, Va.

The Flyers (5-7, 1-2 A-10) suffer their second A-10 defeat while the Rams (5-5-1, 4-0 A-10) stay undefeated in conference play.

KEY STATS
  • VCU scored the opening goal in the 24th minute to take a 1-0 lead at home.
  • Dayton evened the score in the 49th minute on a goal by freshman Toluwalase Oladeinbo off the assist by junior Jonas Fjeldberg. It was Oladeinbo's fifth goal of the season.
  • The Rams scored the game-winner in the 97th minute on a PK.
  • The Flyers were outshot in the game 13-10 and put four shots on target.
