DAYTON - The University of Dayton volleyball team is hitting the road this afternoon for two matches in the northeast this weekend, capping a four-match road stint for the Flyers. Dayton will take on Fordham Friday at 7 p.m. in the Rams' Rose Hill Gym followed by a 2 p.m. match-up Saturday at Rhode Island.

Dayton (12-6, 5-0 A-10), currently enjoying a six-match win streak, has won nine of its last 10 matches including five straight A-10 match-ups. One of only two remaining teams unbeaten in conference play, UD is led offensively by four-time A-10 Player of the Week
Jamie Peterson with 4.66 kills/set (1st A-10, 10th NCAA) and 0.45 service aces (2nd A-10, 36th NCAA) while
Maura Collins is the team's leading passer with 4.37 digs/set (4th A-10).
Scouting Fordham
Fordham (7-10, 0-5 A-10) is currently suffering through a seven-match losing streak heading into this weekend's matches. The squad's last win came on Sept. 18, a 3-2 win over Manhattan. The Rams are led by McKenna Lahr with 2.97 kills/set (9th A-10) and Morgan Williams with 5.91 digs/set (1st A-10).
Scouting Rhode Island
Rhode Island (6-11, 1-4 A-10) has dropped four-straight matches after opening A-10 play with a 3-2 win over Fordham on Sept. 28. URI's Annie Ell serves up 0.36 aces/set (4th A-10) and Ella Rotzloff gets under a team-best 5.20 digs/set (2nd A-10).

Fordham: Dayton leads, 39-1
UD and FOR met during the season week of conference play with the Flyers claiming a 3-0 win over the Rams at home in Frericks Center. Fordham's singular win in the all-time series was 11/21/97 in the Bronx.
Rhode Island: Dayton leads, 35-10
In the Flyers' and Rams' match-up two weeks ago, Dayton picked up a 3-1 win at Rhode Island on Oct. 4. UD has won nine-consecutive meetings between the two programs.

In the NCAA's most recent Rating Percentage Index (RPI), released Oct. 13, Dayton ranked 62nd according to NCAA.com. Fordham came in at 268th and Rhode Island ranked 241st.

Tim Horsmon is in his 11th season overall, and sixth since 2007, as head coach of the Flyers in 2019. His record at Dayton is 273-79 and his career win-loss mark sits at 449-243 in 20 seasons as a head coach. Horsmon is the program's second-winningest coach behind only R. Elaine Dreidame who amassed 310 wins 1970-79.
• Over the last 11 seasons (2009-2019), the Flyers have recorded a 135-12 (.918) mark in regular season Atlantic 10 Conference play, including a perfect 14-0 mark in 2016, 2015 and 2012 and a 15-0 record in 2010. UD suffered only one conference loss in 2017, 2014, 2011 and 2009.
