Box Score PHILADELPHIA – The University of Dayton men's soccer team earned a late 2-1 victory on the road at Saint Joseph's Saturday night.
The Flyers (10-7, 5-2 A-10) continues its winning streak while the Hawks (5-11-2, 1-6 A-10) suffered their sixth conference loss.
KEY STATS
- Dayton took a 1-0 lead in the 40th minute after sophomore Kingsford Adjei converted a penalty kick to put the Flyers ahead. It was his seventh goal of the season.
- Saint Joseph's tied the game up in the 82nd minute.
- Junior Jonas Fjeldberg gave Dayton the lead once again with a goal in the 86th minute on the assist by senior Dennis Ntsin and freshman Seth Antwi.
- The Flyers totaled 24 shots and put eight on target, while the Hawks had eight shots total and only put four on goal.
- Goalkeeper Federico Barrios had three saves in the contest.
COACH'S COMMENTS
"The team played well tonight to earn three crucial points on the road," said head coach
Dennis Currier. "We did very well to control most of the game. In the last 10 minutes of the game, SJU gained some momentum and responded well by scoring a great winning goal and then grinding out the last minutes of the game."

- The Flyers finish the regular season at home against George Washington Saturday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. at Baujan Field. There will be a Senior Day ceremony prior to the game to recognize the nine Flyers seniors.
