OLEAN, N.Y. – Three freshmen combined for the game-winning goal in the University of Dayton women's soccer 1-0 road win at St. Bonaventure Thursday night in an Atlantic 10 match. Freshman Alexis Goins scored her team-leading fifth goal of the season in the 17th minute on a header on passes from fellow freshmen Laney Huber and Audrey Steiert.
The Flyers improve to 4-6-2 overall and 2-1-1 in A-10 play. The Bonnies drop to 4-7-1 overall and 0-3-1 in conference matches.
 
KEY STATS
•  Dayton held a 13-7 advantage on shots, including 6-1 on goal.  
•  Eight different Flyers took shots.
•  Redshirt sophomore Carly Becker had one save in goal to register her fifth shutout of the season.
•  The Flyers improve to 18-1-2 all-time vs. the Bonnies.


KEY MOMENTS
• Goins scored in the 17th minute to give UD the 1-0 lead.
• The Bonnies hit the post in the 21st minute on a header and that was as close as St. Bonaventure got to equalizing the match.
