BOSTON– The University of Dayton women's basketball defeated Northeastern 71-60 on the road at the Cabot Center Saturday night. Senior Jayla Scaife tallied a double-double, scoring a game-high 24 points and pulling down a game-high rebounds.

The Flyers (3-1 overall) are 2-0 in road games, while Northeastern (0-3) dropped its third straight with its other losses coming against No. 1 Oregon and South Dakota.

KEY MOMENTS
2^nd – Whalen scored six consecutive points for the Flyers including a buzzer beater at the end of the quarter.
3^rd  – Dayton held Northeastern to just one field goal in the third quarter, a three with 38 seconds left in the frame.
4^th – Northeastern came storming back in the fourth quarter with 27 points but the Flyers answered with 24 and hit seven free throws down the stretch.

• Shakeela Fowler got the Flyers on the board to even the score 2-2 with 8:28 to play.
