Box Score DAYTON -- The University of Dayton men's tennis team defeated Bryant by a score of 4-3 on Saturday afternoon. The win improves the Flyer record to 4-2 this season and Bryant had a four-match winning streak snapped with the loss.
Dayton started strong with a sweep on all three doubles courts.
Jordan Benjamin and
Spencer Richey won on court one by a score of 6-2, while the duos of
Langford Hills/
Steven Karl and
Lorenzo Rollhauser/
Joe DeMarco won by scores of 7-6 on courts two and three, respectively.
Benjamin picked up an impressive win at No. 1 with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Matt Kuhar, who has been nationally ranked by the ITA earlier in the season. Hills remained undefeated in dual match play with a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 2 over Alexander Schou and
Spencer Richey defeated Guido Argentini 7-5, 7-5 at No. 3 singles.
The Flyers are back in action tomorrow at the Five Seasons Family Sports Club with the team's first conference match of 2019 against Richmond at 11 a.m. (ET).
