DAYTON –The University of Dayton women's basketball team battled to a 62-53 win over George Washington Sunday afternoon at UD Arena.

The Flyers (13-10, 8-4 A-10) were victorious over the Colonials (8-17, 5-7 A-10) during the annual Pink Game supporting Breast Cancer Awareness.

- The Colonial's first lead is short lived as junior Jayla Scaife ties that game back up 5-5 after a foul-to-free throw at the 6:20 mark.

- Scaife put the Flyers in the lead with a field goal followed by two free throws, making the game 28-27.
- The Flyers push their new lead even further with six points in under a minute with the score reading 32-29 leading into the media break.
- GW came back and tied the game up in the final stages of the quarter, and took the lead right before the end of the third.

4th Quarter: Dayton 62, George Washington 53
- Quickly into the fourth quarter, the game sees another tied game with two free throws earned by made senior Maddy Dennis, but is quickly changed with a three pointer GW.
- George Washington creeps ahead, 49-43 with 5:24 seconds left on the clock.
- Sciafe earns two back-to-back field goals followed shortly after by a three pointer by redshirt sophomore Araion Bradshaw to take charge of the game once again, leading by two with 2:35 left for time.
- The Flyers' lead is lengthened by a rebound-to-basket play by junior Jordan Wilmoth then a three by Scaife.
