Box Score Kalamazoo, Mich. -- The University of Dayton women's tennis defeated Valparaiso by a 4-3 score on Saturday morning. The Flyers are now 2-5 this season, while the Crusaders fall to 2-7 on the year.

Mattea Kilstofte and Natalie Allen started things strong for Dayton with a 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles. After Valparaiso evened the score back up with a win at No. 2 doubles, Kristina Benjamin and Anna Delaney picked up a 6-4 win at No. 3 to clinch the opening point of the match.

In singles play, Mattea Kilstofte and Natalie Allen both notched straight set victories on courts one and four, respectively. Kilstofte defetated Claire Czermwnka by a score of 6-1, 6-1, while Allen won 7-5, 6-3 over Dao Sysouvanh. The Crusaders earned wins on courts two, five and six to tie up the match at 3-3, leaving No. 3 singles as the deciding point. Sophomore Kelly Pleiman delivered the winning point for the Flyers by defeating Isabella Schoolcraft, 5-7, 6-4, 6-3.
