BRONX, N.Y. – The University of Dayton women's basketball team came up short on the road at Fordham University Wednesday in the final road game of the regular season.
The Flyers (14-12, 9-6 A-10) continue their road struggles while the Rams (21-8, 12-3 A-10) played its final home game of the season.

1STÂ Quarter: Dayton 12, Fordham 15
- Fordham jumped out to a 9-2 lead in the first three minutes thanks to a pair of threes and a three-point play.
- The Flyers answered with six straight points to make it a one-point game midway through the quarter.
- The Rams put a run of their own together and pushed the margin back to seven at 15-8 with just over two minutes to play.
- UD suffered from a 3:24 scoring drought.

2nd Quarter: Dayton 24, Fordham 29

- Freshman Kyla Whitehead hit a big three just before the media timeout to give the Flyers a 22-18 advantage.
- The Flyers were riding a 14-3 run over a 7:27 stretch dating back to the first quarter.
- Fordham hit a three to take the lead back, 26-24 with 2:58 to play.
- The Rams took a five-point lead into the locker room at halftime.
- Dayton shot 34.6 percent in the first half while Fordham shot 36.7 percent.

3rd Quarter: Dayton 39, Fordham 42
- Fordham hit a three in the early stages of the third to extend its lead.
- Dayton answered with a run to make it a 32-30 game, forcing a Ram timeout with 6:39 in the quarter.
- Redshirt sophomore Araion Bradshaw had two clutch offensive rebounds and putbacks for four points during the Dayton rally.
- Junior Brittany Ward tied the game up at 32-32 off the assist by Cannatelli.
- Fordham got the lead back to seven 42-35 with 1:30 to go in the quarter.
- Ward had seven points in the third quarter alone, giving her nine points total in 10 minutes of action through three.
4th Quarter: Dayton 48, Fordham 56
- Dayton scored three quick points to tie the game up at 42-42.
- The Flyers were forced to call a timeout with 6:13 on the clock as the Rams pulled back ahead 48-44.
- Midway through the quarter, Dayton was down 50-46.
- Fowler hit a runner at the 2:18 mark, ending a two minute drought.
- Fordham called a timeout with 1:17 to play to try and stifle the Dayton rally.
- In the end, the Flyers ran out of time as the Rams hit their free throws down the stretch.
