DAYTON –The University of Dayton women's basketball team defeated Saint Louis on Saturday, 73-57 behind a strong defensive effort.
 
The Flyers finish the regular season undefeated in conference play at home (15-12, 10-6 A-10) while the Billikens (14-15, 9-7 A-10) lose their third straight.
 
KEY MOMENT
1st Quarter - Lauren Cannatelli made a three in transition to complete a 14-2 Flyers' run and give Dayton the 16-9 lead. The Flyers never looked back after that basket.
 
GAME BREAKDOWN
1^ST Quarter: Dayton 21, Saint Louis 17
 

• Araion Bradshaw opened the scoring with a layup, putting the Flyers on the board first.
• Saint Louis then followed up with a 7-0 run to take a 7-2 lead.

• Saint Louis scored the first seven points of the quarter to cut the Dayton lead to 59-46.
• Araion Bradshaw joined Cannatelli and Scaife in entering double figures for the game.
• The Flyers struggled from the floor, starting 2-of-11 to begin the quarter.
• Shakeela Fowler was held without a field goal for the first three quarters, but made three field goals to help put the game away.
