DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's basketball team defeated Richmond 71-50 on Wednesday night at UD Arena.
 
The Flyers (12-8, 7-2 A-10) win a third straight game, while the Spiders (6-11, 3-6 A-10) snap a 3-game winning streak.
 
KEY MOMENT
2nd quarter – 7:03 – Maddy Dennis finished an easy two after a quick assist from Fowler, sparking a 10-0 run to give the Flyers a 27-16 lead.
 
GAME BREAKDOWN
  1st Quarter: Dayton 14, Richmond 14

• Maddy Dennis scored a quick five points off the bench to tie the game 7-7 after the Flyers started 0-for-4 from the field.
• Jayla Scaife gave Dayton the lead 9-8.
