DAYTON -- The University of Dayton baseball team dropped a midweek game to Eastern Michigan on Tuesday afternoon by a score of 10-2. Dayton is now 4-9-1 this season, while Eastern Michigan improves its record to 3-13-1. Both of the Flyers runs came from solo home runs with
Eddie Pursinger and
Tate Hagan both leaving the yard.
KEY MOMENT
- Dayton's offense couldn't figure out Eastern Michigan starting pitcher Luke McGuire, who went 7.0 innings and allowed just one run on two hits and was effective in finding the zone with no walks. The Eagles jumped out to a 6-1 lead during McGuire's time on the mound, which was enough to secure the victory.

Three straight base hits to open the game from Cameron Cruz, Zachary Owings and Jeff Timko plated two runs and Eastern Michigan took an early 2-0 lead.

Tate Hagan lifted a pinch-hit home run over the right field wall for Dayton to close out scoring for the day.
