DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team swept its Atlantic 10 opening doubleheader against George Mason Saturday afternoon, 2-0 and 7-1, at UD Softball Stadium. Senior
Jessica Gilliam tied her career high with nine strikeouts in her complete-game shutout win in the day's first game.
Dayton improves to 12-15 overall and 2-0 in A-10 action while George Mason moves to 8-15 on the season and 0-2 in conference play.
