DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team closed out its three-game series with George Mason Sunday with a 6-3 loss to the Patriots at UD Softball Stadium.

Dayton is now 12-16 on the season and 2-1 in Atlantic 10 Conference play while George Mason moves to 9-15 overall and 1-2 in league action.

• 2 - junior Ellie Ziegler collected two RBI on her second home run of the season. She also tallied two total hits and record two putouts
