Pinehurst, N.C. – The Flyers had a solid day on the golf course today. Dayton saw a couple of players step up and have big days on the course to help put the Flyers in 5^th place after the first day. The team as a whole shot a 299 (+15). The team had a total of 12 birdies on the day, including 3 by Domenic Maricocchi, Blake Solomon, and Frankie Morgan.

The 54-hole event is being held at the Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, North Carolina. The team is playing on the Pinehurst No. 8 course. This course is considered one of the crown jewels of courses in the United States and will play host to the U.S. Championship in 2024.

Davidson College is currently in First Place with a team score of 285 (+1).


COACH'S COMMENT
"The guys played very well for most of the day" said Head Coach Gip Hoagland. "I was pleased with how Domenic Maricocchi and Ryan Clements played today. As a team, we just need to clean up a couple little things and finish better.  We are excited to get back out there tomorrow and compete. It is going to be a fun day!"
