FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The University of Dayton softball team dropped two games on the second day of the Colorado State Classic Saturday. The the day's first game, Dayton's comeback-bid fell just short as Wagner held on for a 13-12 win while host Colorado State claimed a 10-0 (5) win in the nightcap.

Dayton is now 7-8 on the season while Wagner improved to 3-7 and Colorado State is now 14-4 overall.

GAME ONE
Wagner 13, Dayton 12
Winning Pitcher: E. Harvey (2-2) - five earned runs on six hits with three strikeouts and one walk (2.0 IP)

Losing Pitcher: Jessica Weaver (3-3) - five earned runs on six hits with zero strikeouts and two walks (1.1 IP)
Notable: Senior Kyle Davidson was 3-for-5 with three runs scored and two RBI

Colorado State 10, Dayton 0 (5)
Winning Pitcher: J. Jareki (7-1) - zero earned runs on four hits with three strikeouts to zero walks (5.0 IP)
Losing Pitcher: Jessica Gilliam (3-3) - seven earned runs on six hits with one strikeout and three walks (2.2 IP)
Notable: Sophomore Mallory Kimmell batted a pinch-hit single up the middle in the top of the fifth, her only at-bat of the day
