FAIRBORN, Ohio - The University of Dayton softball team split its midweek doubleheader at Wright State Wednesday, taking the first game, 8-2, before falling in the nightcap, 3-0.

Dayton is now 19-19 overall while Wright State moved to 16-25 on the season.

GAME ONE
Dayton 8, Wright State 2
Winning Pitcher: Jessica Weaver (8-6) - two earned runs on 10 hits with seven strikeouts to one walk (7.0 IP)
Losing Pitcher: Olivia Otani (6-13) - two earned runs on four hits with zero strikeouts with two walks (3.0 IP)
Notable: sophomore catcher Abby Ehrenborg tallied a career-high nine putouts

Winning Pitcher: Makenna Durieux (4-7) - zero earned runs on four hits with 11 strikeouts to two walks (7.0 IP)

• 8 - Ehrenborg knocked out her eighth home run of the season in game one - she leads the team and is tied for fourth place in the A-10
• 3 - with her three-run homer in the first game, freshman Alyssa Cacini recorded her first career three-RBI game
