DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team dropped two games to visiting Toledo Wednesday in its midweek doubleheader at UD Softball Stadium. Dayton came from behind to force an extra inning in game one before falling, 7-5, and Toledo took the nightcap, 9-2.

Dayton moves to 21-22 on the season while Toledo is now 19-23 overall.

GAME ONE
Toledo 7, Dayton 5 (eight innings)
Winning Pitcher: Webb (1-4) - three earned runs on nine hits with eight strikeouts to one walk (8.0 IP)
Losing Pitcher: Jessica Weaver (9-7) - four earned runs on nine hits with three strikeouts to five walks (8.0 IP)
Notable: sophomore Abby Ehrenborg went 2-for-3 at the plate, both doubles, with two RBI

Winning Pitcher: McGurk (7-3) - one earned run on five hits with one strikeout to one walk (4.0 IP)
Losing Pitcher: Olivia Lessmann (0-4) - two earned runs on three hits with one strikeout to four walks (3.0 IP)

Notable: senior Lisa Tassi went 2-for-3 at the plate with one walk and one run scored
