PENNSAUKEN, N.J. – The University of Dayton rowing team competed at the 2019 Cooper Invitational today at the Cooper River Park.

"Overall, this was a big step forward for all three boats. Each one had some nerves in their heats and it showed. The second time around they were relaxed and put together a better race," said UD head coach Mike Wenker. "It is all part of the process. We are excited to return for A-10s in a few weeks. We would like to thank Bucknell for putting together the races."

Dayton's V8+ won the petite final in a time of 7:06.29, ahead of Canisius (7:10.78), George Mason (7:16.12), Loyola (7:22.05), Fairfield (7:24.94), and Robert Morris (7:27.77).

The Flyer lineup for the Varsity 8+ was: Samantha Bauer (coxswain), Isabelle Blanchard, Elizabeth Hoffman, Casey Becker, Osa Wheeler, Margaret Cahill, Kiley Tempert, Bridget Kallmeyer, and Erin Dwyer.

Dayton's 2V8+ also won in its petite final. The UD lineup for the Second Varsity 8+ was: Olivia Atkins (coxswain), Haylee Zigmund, Sara McCloud, Beth Boehlefeld, Grace Yingling, Sonia Krolak, Lauren Jones, Colleen McDonnell, and Liz DeNardo.

The Flyers were runners-up in the Varsity 4+ petite final. That lineup was: Sienna McPeek (coxswain), Angie Loriso, Tessa Shade, Grace Porter, and Hannah Butler.
