DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's basketball team held its annual team awards banquet Thursday, recognizing individual and team accomplishments from this past season.
Student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and fans were on hand at the Top of the Market to celebrate the Flyers' season.
Individual awards given out were as follows:
Most Valuable Player –
Jayla Scaife
Most Improved –
Maddy Dennis
F.R.O.G. Award –
Shakeela Fowler
Flyer of the Year –
Lauren Cannatelli
Scholar Athlete Award -
Christine Szabo
Conference awards and 1,000-point milestones were recognized as well.
The Flyers finished the 2018-19 season with a 17-14 record overall and a 10-6 Atlantic 10 mark. Dayton advanced to its 11
th straight postseason, earning a berth in the WNIT. The Flyers were also 13-1 at home this season as well.
