COACH'S COMMENTS
"It was a great team win tonight to start off conference play," said head coach
Dennis Currier. "UMass is a very gritty team and we knew it would be a difficult game. The first half was very cagey and we didn't win enough second balls. In the second half, we took control of the game and bypassed their high press, picked up the knock downs, and became very dangerous on the attack. We really appreciate the fan support tonight. It was an excellent atmosphere for our team to play in."
