DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's soccer team gave up a goal in the 92^nd minute to suffer a heartbreaking 1-0 overtime loss to Ohio State Friday.

The Flyers (0-3-0) hung with the Buckeyes (2-1-0) for the majority of the game, but were unable to hold on late.

• OSU's Joe Ortiz headed home the game-winning goal in the 92^nd minute off the corner kick from Jack Holland.
• Dayton outshot Ohio State 12-9 in the game and put four on target.
• Fouls were 20 to 15 against UD.
• Goalkeeper Federico Barrios made two huge penalty kick saves and finished with four total saves.
• Senior Rok Taneski and junior Ivan Arnaldo both led the Flyers with three shots.
• There were five yellow cards in the contest.
• Freshmen Jaden Jones-Riley and Andy Sanchez made their collegiate debuts.

COACH'S COMMENTS
"I thought it was actually an improvement from our last two games," said head coach Dennis Currier. "I though positional-wise we did well, especially on the defensive end. It was a high level game and it could have gone either way. I don't think we were too clinical in the final third and that was probably the difference. Federico's two PK saves kept us in the game and gave us a chance. It's always heartbreaking to lose in overtime, but I thought we grew tonight and was proud of how hard our guys fought. It was a great atmosphere, great fans, and would have like to put in the game-winner."
