DAYTON– The University of Dayton women's basketball team won their sixth straight game on Wednesday with a 54-41 win against Duquesne. 
 
The Flyers (11-7, 4-0 A-10) stay unbeaten in Atlantic 10 play while the Dukes (11-6, 1-3 A-10) fall for the third time in four games.
 
KEY MOMENT
Julia Chandler went on her own 8-0 run over 1:45 in the first quarter to give the Flyers a 14-5 lead. The Flyers would not relinquish the lead the rest of the night.
 
GAME BREAKDOWN
1^st Quarter: Dayton 14, Duquesne 7

• Back-to-back baskets by Kyla Whitehead and Erin Whalen gave the Flyers a 6-2 lead at the 4:22 mark.
• The Flyers held Duquesne to 21.4 percent from the field and 16.7 percent from three. 
• Julia Chandler finished with eight points in the quarter on a perfect 3-of-3 shooting, scoring all points on the aforementioned run.

2^nd Quarter: Dayton 29, Duquesne 18

• Jayla Scaife pushed the lead to double-digits for the first time with a three-point play to give the Flyers a 21-9 lead. 
• Dayton held a sizeable margin for the remainder of the quarter, with Duquesne never getting closer than nine. 
• Dayton shot 37.5 percent from the field in the quarter.
• The Flyers finished with 17 bench points in the half compared to seven for Duquesne.
• Duquesne leading scorer Libby Bazelak was held to two points for the half. 

3^rd Quarter: Dayton 43, Duquesne 24

• After Duquesne scored the first basket of the quarter, the Flyers went on a 7-0 run over 3:24 to take a 36-20 lead.
• The Dukes were held to just six points in the quarter, the second quarter in the game in which they were held under 10 points.
• The Flyers defense forced more turnovers than allowed field goals, forcing five turnovers while giving up just three baskets. 

4^th Quarter: Dayton 54, Duquesne 41

• Dayton took their largest lead of the game at the 9:03 mark and matched that mark one other time.
• Whalen scored five points in the quarter to give her double-figures (11) on the game.
• Duquesne went on a 13-0 run over 3:50 to trim the margin, but the Flyer lead was insurmountable.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
60 - For all four games in Atlantic 10 play, the Flyers have held their opponent under 60 points. This is the first game in conference play which Dayton's opponent has scored fewer than 50 points.
27 - Duquesne only shot 27.0 percent from the floor during the game.
