DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's tennis team will host back-to-back matches this weekend. Dayton will first face Wright State on Friday, Jan. 31 and then take on Lipscomb on Saturday, Feb. 1. Friday's matches begin at 7 p.m. ET while Saturday's begin at 5:30 p.m.
Wright State will be looking for its first win at 0-3 while Lipscomb enters the weekend 3-0, defeating Appalachian State, Austin Peay, and Troy this season. Lipscomb will face Northern Kentucky on Friday before traveling to Dayton on Saturday.
Dayton is 0-4 with losses to nationally-ranked Louisville and Ohio State. The Flyers lost 4-0 in their most recent matchup at Kentucky on Tuesday, Jan. 28. Dayton was narrowly defeated 4-3 by Toledo in their last home match on Jan. 24.
Last season, the Flyers defeated Wright State on the road by a score of 6-1 on March 10. Dayton last competed against Lipscomb March 3, 2017, which resulted in a 7-0 victory.
