DAYTON – University of Dayton head men's tennis coach Ryan Meyer has announced the signing of one student-athlete who will join the team for the 2021-22 season. Davis Phillips has signed his National Letter of Intent to continue his tennis career for Dayton next season.
 
"We are very excited to have Davis joining our program," Meyer said. "From our very first conversation I knew this was a young man that fit our culture. I look forward to getting him to campus in August."
 
Phillips, a 6-foot-1 native of Hilton Head Island, S.C., will graduate from Hilton Head Christian Academy in May. Phillips holds a career record of 63-10 and sits as one of the Top 100 high school seniors in the country. He was also part of the 2018 4A State Champion team coached by Eric Wammock.
 
"I really appreciate everyone who has gotten me to this point," Phillips said. "I can't wait to play tennis as a Dayton Flyer."
