Box Score MIAMISBURG, Ohio – The University of Dayton men's tennis team lost a tough match 5-2 to undefeated Lipscomb Saturday at the South Regency Tennis Center.
The Flyers drop to 1-5 overall and Lipscomb improves to 5-0.
The Bisons won the doubles point, winning at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. The Flyer freshmen pair of
Matt DeMarco and
Georgi Mavrodiev won 6-4 at No. 2 doubles.
Dayton freshman
Connor Bruce continued his winning streak with a 6-1, 7-5 win at No. 1. Mavrodiev also won his singles match 6-4, 3-6, 10-8 at the No. 4 spot.
The Flyers open Atlantic 10 Conference action Feb. 8 vs. Richmond at 4 p.m. and Feb. 9 at Duquesne at 1 p.m. Both matches are in Pittsburgh at the Alpha Tennis & Fitness of Pittsburgh.
