HOUSTON - The University of Dayton softball team fell to Oregon State, 6-2, and Houston, 7-0, on the first day of play at the 2020 Houston Classic Friday. The three-day event is being played at Cougar Softball Stadium.

Dayton moved to 2-5 after today's games while both Oregon State and Houston improved to 5-1 overall.

KEY STATS
• .833 - junior Abby Ehrenborg and sophomore Alyssa Cacini posted an .833 slugging percentage on the day and each knocked out a home run
• 5 - freshman Sarah Bailitz tallied five strikeouts in her third career start in the circle for the Flyers
• 5 - Ehrenborg and senior Ellie Ziegler paired up for the team's fifth double play of the season in today's first game
