Men's Basketball 2020 Postseason Ticketing Process Available

DAYTON – The University of Dayton Division of Athletics is forming a request list for season ticket holders and eligible Champions & Scholars Fund members who wish to secure tickets to follow the Flyers' men's basketball team in the 2020 NCAA Tournament, should the team clinch an automatic berth or receive an at-large bid.

While the Flyers have their sights solely focused on the Atlantic 10 Championship, due to logistical complications created by hosting the First Four and the unprecedented demand for previous seasons' NCAA tournament games, UD is releasing advance ticketing information should Dayton earn an NCAA berth.

The University of Dayton will have a limited allotment of tickets at each site. Requests will be prioritized by a combination of lifetime giving to University of Dayton Athletics and the number of years and level as a season ticket holder.
The vast majority of Champions & Scholars Fund members and season ticket holders are unlikely to secure any tickets to Cleveland, Albany, Omaha, Greensboro, Tampa, or St. Louis through the University, unless they have personally made very significant philanthropic gifts to Athletics beyond their seating contributions.

Fans interested in attending these sites are encouraged to purchase through the venue directly or at verified sites such as https://www.ncaa.com/tickets/basketball-men/d1.

"We want as many Flyer fans as possible," said Adam Tschuor, senior associate athletic director.  "The sooner our fans have their plans in order on how to acquire tickets outside of UD the greater chance they will have of securing seats."

Primesport is the NCAA's official resale platform.  It is the most direct and reliable source of tournament tickets for fans outside of the venues themselves.

Companies that do not have refund guarantees or deal exclusively in hard physical tickets (i.e. Craigslist) should be heavily scrutinized.

"In this day and age the only truly fraud-proof ticket is a mobile one," said Tschuor. "Anytime you are buying physical hard tickets, whether online or through a scalper, you put yourself at risk of having fraudulent tickets."

Fans without a substantial philanthropic giving history have a greater likelihood of securing tickets if we are in Spokane, Wash., and Sacramento, Calif. For all other sites, we recommend fans make their own arrangements.

If users have any questions about their account, please contact the University of Dayton Ticket Office at (937) 229-4433. The UD Ticket Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET.

Site requests will be accepted online beginning today until 11 p.m. ET on Sunday, March 15, 2020 (Selection Sunday). If you submitted a request to purchase tickets to follow the Flyers in the 2020 NCAA Tournament and your order is accepted, you will receive notification of ticket request fulfillment prior to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17. If you do not receive notification that your order was accepted by such time, we regret your ticket request could not be filled.
