DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's basketball team took the conference victory against the Rhode Island Rams for the Girl Scout game and also the National Girls and Women in Sports game at home.
The Dayton Flyers (17-7, 10-0 A-10) take their 12
th straight victory against the Rhode Island Rams (11-11, 4-6 A-10).

1st Quarter: Dayton 13, Rhode Island 9
- The Flyers took on a slight early lead at 2-5 with three points from redshirt junior Araion Bradshaw.
- Dayton kicked off the game, very strongly defensively, allowing the Rams no points for this first 3:32.
- The game was tied 7-7 at the first media timeout of the game.
- The Flyers went on a 6-0 run over 3:10 to put the score at 9-13 with 0.25 left of the quarter.
- Dayton's scoring momentum led Rhode Island to another scoring drought spanning over 4:16.

2nd Quarter: Dayton 31, Rhode Island 23

- By the Media timeout, the Dayton was up 26-14 over the Rams with 5 fast breaks coming from the Flyers compared to Ram's 0.
- Rhode Island was not able to put up any field goals the last 4:16 of the half.
- Dayton wraps up the 2nd quarter having shot 45.2% in game FG compared to the Rams at31.8%.

- The Rams took the first basket of the second half, but is combatted quickly with back-to-back baskets by Scaife under the hoop.
- The Flyers pushed a 7-0 run over 1:53 in the third quarter bringing the score to 44-30.
- At the media timeout, Dayton led by 10.
- At 2:17, Dayton saw the largest lead of the game with a score of 51-36 following back-to-back three pointers by Giacone.
- For the last 4:47 of the third quarter, Dayton defense did not allow any Ram field goals.
