DAYTON – After completing the Redbird Invitational hosted by Illinois State last week, the University of Dayton women's tennis team will return home Friday to take on Saint Louis at 7 p.m. at South Regency Tennis Center in Miamisburg.
The Flyers fell in both matches last weekend first to host Illinois State on Saturday before returning and dropping Sunday's match to Milwaukee.
Claire Ghidotti picked up a victory on Sunday with a two-set win over Lucy Harper of Milwaukee in the No. 6 singles flight. The freshman is 4-2 on the season playing No. 6 singles.
Saint Louis currently sits at 2-6 on the year after splitting last weekend's matches, first falling to Missouri State 4-3 on Friday before knocking off Tennessee State 4-1 on Saturday in Nashville.
The Billikens feature both the reigning Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Player and Rookie of the Week. Ariana Rodriguez was selected as the league's top player on the women's side, while Adriana Gonzalez took the previous week's top rookie honors.
