Box Score MIAMISBURG, Ohio – The University of Dayton men's tennis team opened the weekend with a 4-0 victory over Saint Louis on Friday night at South Regency Tennis Center.
"It's always a nice feeling to come out with a victory against an A-10 opponent," head coach
Ryan Meyer said. "I thought we started out well and kept the momentum going to get the win."
The Flyers get back to .500 on the year with the win, now 7-7 on the season.
The Flyers did not drop a set against the Billikens, with
Connor Bruce and
Matt DeMarco winning both matches they played on the evening.
Dayton began the match by taking the doubles point.
Connor Bruce and
Joe DeMarco took the No. 1 doubles match while
Matt DeMarco and
Will Harper made quick work in the third flight.
With a 1-0 lead, the Flyers took the first three singles flights to take the match.
Connor Bruce,
Steven Karl, and
Matt DeMarco each only needed two sets to take down Saint Louis.
