RICHMOND, Ky. - The University of Dayton softball team put together a four-run seventh-inning rally but UIC walked off with the 6-5 win over the Flyers. Senior
Julia Blarr kick started the two-out final-inning rally with a solo home run, her third of the season, in Dayton's second game of the Eastern Kentucky Invitational.
Dayton is now 5-11 on the season while UIC moves to 7-10 overall.
Senior
Jessica Weaver (4-3) was charged with the loss after working the final two innings. Freshman
Sarah Bailitz was the Flyers starter, collecting five strikeouts in 4.0 innings pitched.

UP NEXT
Dayton will close out the EKU Invitational Sunday with two games. The Flyers' day will get started with a match-up against the Zips of Akron with first pitch set for noon followed by a 5 p.m. tilt against the host Colonels.
