TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced its 2020 Division I Scholar-Athletes and All-Academic Teams today, and 16 University of Dayton tennis players – eight women and eight men – earned the honor. In addition, both the UD men's and women's programs were named 2020 ITA All-Academic Teams.
"Academia is a key aspect of the college tennis experience," said the ITA release. "Collegiate tennis players add to the rich intellectual community found on college campuses across the nation."
The Flyer women who earned the 2020 ITA academic honor are:

The Flyer men who were named 2020 ITA Scholar-Athletes are:

Both programs earned the ITA All-Academic Team honor as well. The men's tennis program posted a 3.5729 team GPA for the 2019-20 year, and the women's tennis program had a 3.7240 team GPA.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:
- have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year
- be listed on the institutional eligibility form

To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must meet the following requirements:
- have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale),
- all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year
