DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's basketball team continued Atlantic 10 Conference action with a 64-48 win over Duquesne Sunday afternoon at UD Arena.

The Flyers are 3-1 overall and 2-0 in league play, while the Dukes are 3-3 overall and 1-1 in the A-10.

In a balanced offensive attack, 11 different players scored for the Flyers, led by redshirt senior
Erin Whalen's 13 points, as well as a team-high seven rebounds. Fellow redshirt senior
Araion Bradshaw added 12 points and a team-high seven rebounds.
Defensively, UD held their opponent under 50 points for the second consecutive game. The Flyers held St. Bonaventure to just 47 points in their conference opener. UD held Duquesne to 25 percent (14-of-55) on field goals.

rd quarter –  Dayton outscored Duquesne 19-9 to extend its lead to 53-30 going into the final quarter of play.
GAME BREAKDOWN
1st Quarter: Dayton 17, Duquesne 12
- The Flyers held the Dukes without a field goal for nearly five minutes to start the game. Duquesne first scored from the field at the 5:18 mark.
- UD's defense also held Duquesne scoreless from the field for 3:36 (from 4:44 to 1:03).
- Duquesne scored five of its 12 points from the free throw line (5-of-8).
- Dayton shot just 33 percent from the field (5-of-15) but held Duquesne to 23 percent (3-of-13).
- The Flyers had four turnovers, while the Dukes had five.
- Whalen led UD with five points in the quarter.
2nd Quarter: Dayton 34, Duquesne 21
- The Flyers held the Dukes to just nine points in the second quarter.
- Nine different Flyers scored in the first 20 minutes. Whalen added another five points in the second quarter to lead all scorers with 10 points at the half. Whalen also led the Flyers with five rebounds and two assists.
- Tenin Magassa and Whalen started the quarter with second-chance putbacks to give the Flyers a 21-12 lead.
- Makira Cook ended a UD scoring drought of nearly three minutes with a jumper at 5:55 to give UD a 23-12 lead.
- Dayton's largest lead was a 15-point advantage, 34-19, when Capria Brown knocked down two free throws with 50 seconds left to play in the half.
- Dayton held Duquesne to 23 percent shooting (6-of-26 in the first half).
- The Flyers also led in rebounding, 24-22, at the half.
3rd Quarter: Dayton 53, Duquesne 30
- For the second consecutive quarter, UD held the Dukes to just nine points.
- Dayton held Duquesne without a field goal for 4:34. DU's last basket was at 8:57 and didn't score again until 4:23.The Dukes went 0-for-7 from the field to finish the quarter.
- .Jenna Giacone led the Flyers with five points in the quarter.
- UD extended its largest lead of the game to 23 points, 53-30, on a Makira Cook jumper with 52 seconds left to play in the quarter.
4th Quarter: Dayton 64, Duquesne 48
- Dayton extended its lead to the largest of the game, 26 points (59-33), on a fastbreak layup by freshman Capria Brown.
- UD's bench scored nine of its 11 points in the final quarter.
- The Flyers had nine turnovers in the fourth quarter.
