DAYTON - The University of Dayton volleyball team swept visiting Rhode Island, 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-12), Friday night at Frericks Center. The Flyers extended their winning streak to nine and remain undefeated in Atlantic 10 Conference action.
Dayton improves to 15-5 on the season and 8-0 in league play while Rhode Island moves to 9-13 overall and 1-5 in A-10 matches.
KET STATS
• 17 - senior
Jamie Peterson led all attackers with 17 kills and was one off the double-double with nine digs
• 14 - senior
Maura Collins got under a team-high 14 digs
• 6 - junior
Grace Dynda tallied a career-high six kills and posted a perfect hitting percentage (6-0-6)
UP NEXT
Dayton is set to wrap up its seven-match homestand Sunday as it welcomes Fordham to Frericks Center. First serve between the Flyers and Rams is set for 1 p.m. and admission is free. Per current City of Dayton Mask Mandate,
fans are required to wear their masks completely over their nose and mouth throughout their time in Frericks Center (including inside the Gym) unless actively eating or drinking. These guidelines are subject to change with current local and state regulations.
