DAYTON - The University of Dayton volleyball team used a balanced attack to get past visiting Atlantic 10 rival VCU, 3-1 (25-23, 38-36, 23-25, 26-24), Thursday night at Frericks Center. The marathon four-setter lasted 2:21 and featured four Flyers with double-figure kills.
Dayton remains unbeaten in conference play (5-0) and is now 11-5 overall. VCU moves to 8-10 on the season and 4-2 in league action.

Livie Sandt set a match-high 48 assists, her fourth match this season with 40 or more assists
• 20 - senior
Jamie Peterson led all attackers with 20 kills to go with 14 digs for her third double-double of the season
• 17 - senior
Maura Collins got under a team-high 17 digs, one of four Flyers with double-digit digs
• 15 - junior
Elizabeth House passes a career-high 15 digs
• 14 - freshman
Alayna Yates tallied a career-high 14 kills to go with a match-high nine blocks (1-8)

Lexie Almodovar also had 14 kills to go with 10 digs for her team-best sixth double-double of the season
• 13 - sophomore
Amelia Moore was the fourth Flyer in double-digit kills with 13 while swinging at a blistering .500
UP NEXT
The third game of Dayton's seven-match homestand is set for Saturday, Oct. 9 against Davidson. First serve between the Flyers and Wildcats is set for 1 p.m. in Frericks Center and admission is free. Per current City of Dayton Mask Mandate,
