DAYTON – The University of Dayton Women's Basketball team used a 17-4 start to beat Toledo on Wednesday afternoon. The Flyers were led by graduate student
Jenna Giacone who had a career-high 28 points as well as seven rebounds and three assists. Giacone was joined in double digits by graduate student
Erin Whalen who had 12 points and 11 rebounds.

- Toledo opened the quarter making back-to-back baskets to cut the lead to nine.
- Toledo continued to trim into the lead as Dayton lead 51-45 with 5:09 remaining.
- After the timeout, Giacone went on a 7-0 run by herself to make it a 13-point game.
- The Rockets answered making back-to-back 3-pointers to make it a seven-point game again.
- The Flyers finished the game making five of their final seven field goals to seal the win.
