DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's tennis team will return to action this weekend with two matches, one at home on Friday against Bellarmine at 3 p.m. at South Regency Tennis Center and one on the road at Northern Kentucky on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

The Flyers went 1-1 last weekend after falling on Saturday against Illinois State and taking down Saint Francis on Sunday. Sophomore
Erica Wojcikiewicz went 3-1 between singles and doubles on the weekend to earn Ohio's College Advantage Student-Athlete of the Week for Dayton. UD sits at 2-5 overall in 2021.

Bellarmine will enter the contest still in search of the team's first win of the season after falling at Marshall 7-0 last Friday. The Knights are 0-4 overall in 2021 and are usually represented in No. 1 singles by Aubrey Smith and Madison Devillez. This marks the first time in program history that these two opponents will face off against each other.

Northern Kentucky also took down Saint Francis 5-2 last weekend and will enter the contest with the Flyers at 2-1 on the season. Sylvia Gray is undefeated this season for the Norse at 3-0 in singles play while Maria Koo and Margita Sunjic have each won one singles match at No. 1 singles so far this season. The Flyers are just 2-4 against Northern Kentucky in the history of the series with UD's last victory against the Norse coming on Jan. 28, 2017 on the road.
