DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's soccer team opens the 2020-21 season hosting Bellarmine this Saturday, Feb. 6 at Chaminade Julienne High School's Roger Glass Stadium. Kickoff is 1 p.m. No fans will be permitted to attend.

THE SERIES
• This is the first meeting between Dayton and Bellarmine in women's soccer.
FLYER FACTS
• Dayton returns its top two scorers from last season
Alexis Goins and
Laney Huber. Both were named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team, with Goins also earning first-team honors.
• Nine different Flyers scored last season and five were freshmen.
• Dayton's defense of junior
Lexy Kidd (1,764 minutes played in 2019) and sophomores
Mackenzie Lutz (1,610 minutes played) and
Audrey Steiert (team-high 1,777 minutes played) are all three back. Combined, they had 55 starts and were ranked 1-2-3 for the Flyers in minutes played.
• Redshirt junior
Carly Becker had 13 starts in 13 matches played and a 1.52 GAA.
• UD returns eight starters from a squad that went 7-9-3 overall and 5-3-2 in conference play in 2019.
SCOUTING BELLARMINE
• Bellarmine was 12-5-3 in 2019, outscoring opponents 23-8.
• Isabella Zamborini led the Knights with four goals and three assists in 2019. Samantha Ferry also scored four goals.
• Elyssa Francis had nine shutouts, 58 saves and a .38 goals against average in 2019.
