DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's soccer team opened the Atlantic 10 season with a 2-0 defeat at Saint Louis Saturday.
The Flyers (0-3, 0-1 A-10) were unable to get in the win column while the Billikens (6-2, 1-0 A-10) move to 1-0 in conference play.

- The host Billikens took the initial 1-0 lead in the third minute on the goal from John Klein.
- Saint Louis doubled its lead in the 48th minute on a goal from Christian Buendia.
- Dayton had just six shots in the game and put two on target while Saint Louis had 19 shots, seven on goal.
- Freshman Michael Adedokun had a team-high two shots.
- Fellow freshman Marc Kouadio had five saves, a career high.
- Dayton had 17 different players appear in the game.
COACH'S COMMENTS
"All credit goes to Saint Louis tonight," said head coach
Dennis Currier. "They out-competed us in every category. The margins are slim this season to advance to post season play so we need to find more grit if we want to extend the season."
