MIAMISBURG, Ohio – The University of Dayton women's tennis team fell on Sunday afternoon to Saint Louis 4-1.
 
The Flyers fall to 5-11 in 2021 and 0-2 in Atlantic 10 play with the loss. Senior 
Kelly Pleiman and freshman 
Sarah DeMarco took No. 3 doubles 6-3 to open the day for Dayton, but Saint Louis took the point with wins in the other two doubles flights.
 
UD opened singles play with the advantage, taking four of the six first sets. Junior 
Claire Ghidotti represented the lone point for the Flyers against Saint Louis, taking No. 6 singles in straight sets over Nawal Cheema. Sophomores 
Erica Wojcikiewicz and 
Elizabeth Hamilton each took their first sets and their matches would go unfinished in No. 2 and No. 3 singles, and Saint Louis would take the other three singles flights to take the match.
 
Dayton will return to action on Sunday, April 11 at 10 a.m. at South Regency Tennis Center in Miamisburg with a match against DePaul.
