WASHINGTON, D.C. - The University of Dayton softball team dropped two Atlantic 10 Conference games at George Washington in its doubleheader with the Colonials on Saturday. GW held UD scoreless in the game, 2-0, and then held on for the 3-2 nightcap win.

Dayton is now 11-18 on the season and 6-4 in conference play while George Washington moves to 18-7 overall and 10-0 in league action.

GAME ONE
George Washington 2, Dayton 0
• junior pitcher Kelsey Gumm worked five scoreless innings in the circle for the Flyers
• freshmen Taylor Erschen and Megan Ward combined for the team's two hits
Winning Pitcher: S. Lange (10-6) - 7.0 IP, zero earned runs on two hits with four strikeouts to two walks
Losing Pitcher: Gumm (2-6) - 5.1 IP, two earned runs on six hits with two strikeouts and two walks

George Washington 3, Dayton 2
• Erschen was the only player on either team to post multiple hits in the game
• Dayton scored one run in both the fourth and fifth innings
