DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team completed the Atlantic 10 series sweep of visiting George Mason Sunday with 1-0 and 2-1 wins at UD Softball Stadium Sunday afternoon. With the wins, Dayton has moved into second place in the A-10 Central standings with two conference series left to play.
Dayton improved to 15-21 on the season and 10-6 in leagues games while George Mason finished the weekend with a 14-12 overall mark and a 9-11 record in conference play.

Dayton 1, George Mason 0

Abby Ehrenborg recorded her team-best ninth double of the season

Sarah Bailitz (4-6) - 7. 0 IP, zero earned runs on four hits with three strikeouts to four walks in her third complete game of the season and first career shutout
Losing Pitcher: Bekah Ansbro (6-4) - 6.0 IP, zero earned runs on eight hits with four strikeouts
GAME TWO
Dayton 2, George Mason 1
• 7 – as a team, Dayton recorded seven hits in the game to George Mason's two; six different Flyers tallied a hit in game two
• 9 – for the second time in as many games, freshman
Addy Bullis recorded nine strikeouts in the circle for Dayton
Winning Pitcher: Bullis (8-6) - 7.0 IP, one earned run on two hits with nine strikeouts to zero walks
Losing Pitcher: Ansbro (6-5) - 2.0 IP, one earned run on three hits with one strikeout
UP NEXT
With an Atlantic 10 bye week this coming week, Dayton will return to action in 10 days with a non-conference double-header at UD Softball Stadium against Eastern Kentucky. The two-game set is slated to get underway at 2 p.m. on April 28 in Dayton.
