DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team dropped a 5-1 decision to visiting Eastern Kentucky Wednesday in a midweek non-conference contest at UD Softball Stadium. Despite a 30-minute weather delay mid-game, the Flyers and Colonels were able to get the game completed.

Dayton is now 15-22 overall while Eastern Kentucky improves to 31-11 on the season.

• 3 - sophomore Emily Daniel recorded three hits in today's game, the third time this season she's had three hits in one game
• 9 - with her single in today's game, senior Abby Ehrenborg extended her hitting streak to nine games equaling the team's longest streak this season
• 0 - today was the team's third-consecutive and 10th game in the last 12 that the Flyers committed zero errors as a squad
Winning Pitcher: Tori Peterson (15-3) - 4.0 IP, zero earned runs on two hits with two strikeouts
Losing Picher: Sarah Bailitz (4-7) - 0.2 IP, two earned runs on two hits with two walks

UP NEXT
Dayton will return to Atlantic 10 action this weekend with a four-game set at St. Bonaventure. The Flyers and Bonnies will play back-to-back doubleheaders Friday, April 30 and Saturday, May 1 with first pitch slated for 12 p.m. both days at SBU's Joyce Field in Olean, N.Y.
