NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 released the bracket for the men's tennis championship on Tuesday afternoon and Dayton earned its best seed since 2005, slotting in at No. 2 and earning a first round bye in the tournament. The Flyers will compete in the quarterfinal at 12:30 on Friday, April 30 against the winner of the match between Saint Louis and St. Bonaventure, which takes place on Thursday.
Each court will have a live stream of the action and the conference will also be providing live results for fans at home to follow along. Entry to the event is free but is limited to 400 spectators at one time. Spectators must wear masks at all times and if play is moved inside due to inclement weather no spectators will be allowed.
Sophomore Conner Bruce has been consistently good this season, with a 12-4 record in dual matches this season and all 12 victories coming in the first singles flight. Senior
Steven Karl has been the mainstay at No. 2 singles, picking up seven wins in the flight and carrying a four-match winning streak into the conference tournament.

Will Harper has been dominant in No. 6 singles for the Flyers, with a 6-0 record in the flight and a seven-match winning streak in total.
Bruce has paired with fellow sophomore
Max DeCurtins to form staples of doubles play, carrying an 8-5 record in No. 1 doubles.
Dayton reached the semifinals in the last Atlantic 10 Championship played in 2019, defeating George Washington as the four seed before falling to top-seeded VCU.
