#UDWSOC Drops A-10 Road Match To #20 Saint Louis

ST. LOUIS – The University of Dayton women's soccer team fell 3-1 to No. 20 Saint Louis Thursday evening at Hermann Stadium

The Flyers are now 7-4-1 overall and 4-2-1 in the Atlantic 10. The Billikens are 12-1-0 overall and 7-0-0 in the A-10, clinching the regular season title.

SCORING SUMMARY
•  The Billikens got on the scoreboard first with a breakaway goal by Hannah Larson in the 14th minute.
•  Sophomore Jessica Sheldon scored her first goal of the season to equalize the match at 1-1 in the 19th minute. Freshman Katie Houck served the ball into the box and it hit off the crossbar. Sheldon was there for the rebound and put it away on the back post.
•  SLU scored on a cornerkick in the 48th minute and a PK in the 51st minute.

KEY STATS
•  The Flyers were out shot 17-5 in the match, including 10-3 with shots on goal.
•  There were 25 fouls called in the match, 12 on Dayton and 13 on Saint Louis. There were also six cards given, three to each squad.
•  Dayton went down to 10 players in the 51st minute when sophomore defender Mackenzie Lutz picked up her second yellow of the match, which also resulted in a PK conversion by Abbie Miller to put SLU up 3-1.
•  Sophomore Madelyn Dewey had seven saves in goal for the Flyers, one off her career-high.
