DAYTON - The University of Dayton volleyball team claimed a 3-1 (25-20, 22-25, 25-21, 25-23) win over visiting Texas State Saturday afternoon in the final match of the 2021 Dayton Invitational. Senior

Lexie Almodovar each tallied 13 kills to lead all attackers.
Dayton improves to 2-1 on the season while Texas State is now 0-3.

• 13 & 10 - Almodovar posted her second double-double of the season with 13 kills and 10 digs
• 14.0 - led by sophomore
Amelia Moore with eight blocks, the Flyers posted 14.0 total team blocks
• 20 - senior
Maura Collins led the Flyers with 20 digs
• 26 - freshman
Brooke Nichols recorded a career-high 26 assists

UP NEXT
Dayton is set to head to Madison, Wisconsin, next week for a two-match set at second-ranked Wisconsin. The Flyers and Badgers will square off on Thursday, Sept. 2 at 7:30 p.m. followed by an 8 p.m. match-up on Friday, Sept. 3. Both games will be played at UW Field House and will be available to watch on BigTenNetwork+ and via live stats as well.
