HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The University of Dayton men's golf team finished in third place out of 15 teams at the Joe Feaganes Invitational hosted by Marshall Sept. 13-14. The Flyers posted a team score of 280-292-287=859 (+7) for the three round event that was played at Guyan Golf and Country Club at 6,523 yards and par 71.

Host Marshall took top team honors with a score of 273-285-287=845 (-7) while Wright State's Tyler Goeke posted the low individual score of 68-69-68=205 (-8) to earn medalist honors.

• 51 - as a team, Dayton was second among with the field with 51 total birdies

"All things considered, the team played pretty solid this week," commented head coach Gip Hoagland following Tuesday's final round. "We continue to do a lot of good things out there which is very encouraging. We need to clean up a few little things in order to eliminate big numbers. UP NEXT
Dayton is set to compete at the River Run Collegiate hosted by Davidson Sept. 20-21. The two-day event will take place at the River Run Country Club in Davidson, N.C.
